What Classmax works with

Classmax reads your coursework from your university's learning platform. That only works if we can read the platform your university uses — so here is the honest list, including what we can't do yet.

Canvas · Instructure

Verified on university and community-college instances, including self-hosted subdomains.

Blackboard Learn · Anthology

Verified on university instances. Both Ultra and Original course views.

Our Canvas and Blackboard support is built per platform, not per school, so a university we have never seen before should work the moment you connect it. We say should deliberately: universities configure these systems differently, and until your own portal has synced we cannot promise it. That is exactly why we never take a card until it has — see our Terms.

Not supported yet

· Moodle
· D2L Brightspace
· Google Classroom
· Microsoft Teams course sites
· Publisher platforms — McGraw Connect, Pearson MyLab, Cengage, WileyPLUS
· Portals that require a VPN or campus network
· Safari and Firefox (Classmax is a Chrome extension for now)

If your university uses one of these, Classmax will not be able to read your coursework, and you should not pay for it yet. Tell us which one at team@classmax.ai — we prioritise by how many people ask.

One thing to watch when you connect

Connect Classmax to your university's own address — something like blackboard.youruni.ac.uk or youruni.instructure.com. Connecting to www.blackboard.com or www.instructure.com points Classmax at the software company's own website rather than your school, and it will find nothing. If that happens we will tell you in the app rather than leaving you with an empty dashboard, and we will not charge you.
