Which LMSes work with Classmax?
Classmax launches with full Blackboard support, including most custom university Blackboard instances. Canvas and Moodle support is on the way; you can join the waitlist for either to be notified when they ship.
How does Classmax connect to my LMS?
You install the Chrome extension, sign in to Classmax, and visit your LMS as you normally would. The extension reads the page in your browser (no credentials shared, no scraping from our servers). Your courses sync automatically.
Is my data private?
We only store what's needed to power your AI assistant: your course names, assignments, and any documents you choose to use with the AI. We never sell your data, never train on your data, and you can delete everything from your account at any time.
Will it work for my school?
If your school uses Blackboard, yes, including most custom institutional domains. If we don't auto-detect your school's instance, you can add it manually from the extension popup. Canvas and Moodle students can join the waitlist below.
How is this different from ChatGPT?
ChatGPT doesn't know what you're studying. Classmax does. We pull your readings, briefs, and assignments into the conversation so the AI can give answers grounded in your actual coursework, not generic responses.
Is this a cheating tool?
No. Classmax is built to help you understand your coursework, not bypass it. The AI explains concepts, breaks down readings, builds study plans, and quizzes you on what you've learned. We deliberately don't position the product as a homework-answer service, and the AI is prompted to be a study partner, not a ghostwriter. You're still the one doing the learning.
How much will Pro cost?
Pro will be £15/mo when it launches later this year. During beta, every feature is free. Beta users will get a generous discount when Pro goes live.
Can I use Classmax on mobile?
Right now Classmax syncs through the Chrome extension on desktop. The web app (where you chat with the AI) works on mobile browsers too, so you'll see all your synced courses there. A native mobile app is on the roadmap.
